A.J. and I went to the Sonics game on Sunday, which just happened to be Squatch’s birthday! (Squatch is the Sonics mascot, seen in the photo signing autographs.)
He had a bunch of his friends in town to celebrate… Mascots from other NBA teams! Buddy, Coyote, Hip Hop, the Gorilla and more! They all signed autographs and handed out birthday cake before the game, and they were all jazzing up the crowd the whole night. There were some mascot competitions at breaks and halftime which were great!
The Sonics ended up losing, but only by one basket that was literally made at the buzzer… So much so that the refs had to go to video review to decide if it was legit. It was a close game the whole night!
