Sounders FC

I went to the Seattle Sounders vs. Houston Dynamo first-round playoff soccer game last night at Qwest Field with A.J., Heather, and Jeremiah and it was a lot of fun! We had seats in the center “Club Level” section and we were directly on the half line, so a great view. The seats are slightly padded, and have full backs, armrests, and cup holders… plus that whole section is completely under-cover, so if it had rained (which it didn’t) we would have stayed dry. We also had access to the “Club Level” concessions and eating areas, plus there was the FSN Lounge, only for the best-of-the-best seats, which we had. There was free food there all game with Shepherd’s Pie, quesadillas, lots of fresh fruit, cookies, soda, and coffee. That was pretty cool!!

The game itself was so-so. The Sounders didn’t seem to have the fire, and the refereeing was pretty terrible, even taking away a goal of ours on a bogus call. It ended in a zero-zero tie, and we head to Houston next week to play them again for the second of this 2-game series.

Overall a really fun night!!!

Post-Op Eye

The left eye is supposed to be dilated like that… But it’s still a little unnerving!
The surgery went great, and A.J.’s feeling good. He thinks there might be one little floater left, but all the big nasty stuff is gone!!! 🙂

Designers!

We happened to be walking through the Fashion District today and found ourselves right in front of Parsons: The New School for Design, which is where Project Runway is held (well, it was, til they moved to LA for this season…). Then I asked A.J. if he could figure out where Mood Fabrics was, and it turns out it’s just down the street, so we went there too. It’s a great fabric store, very cool and SO much fabric!!

23rd Floor!

So the Hilton Garden Inn in Chelsea is a class act… Great employees, nice location, beautiful rooms with so many amenities… And we’re on the 23rd floor with a gorgeous city view!

After-test Happy Hour

I am now hopefully a Board Certified Pediatrician – the test was today, but I won’t get my results until January – so now we’re celebrating at Luau down by Greenlake. Yay for no more studying!

A Painted House

Our house is all painted on the outside now, it looks great!! We also turned on the cyclones of fire yesterday and they are awesome!! It looks like things are going well on the financial front, and we might get to move in as soon as next month! Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Twins!

Yesterday my 12-year-old niece and I had a nice afternoon of hanging out at the mall and eating sushi. We bought matching sunglasses, too.
Today was a birthday celebration for my cousin Jessie, and we showed up wearing the same (fairly rare) t-shirt. It’s from a local bakery called Cupcake Royale and the shirt reads “Legalize Frostitution”.

It was a weekend of twins!
