{"id":494,"date":"2010-02-24T16:27:52","date_gmt":"2010-02-25T00:27:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jillcook.com\/blog\/?p=494"},"modified":"2010-02-24T16:27:52","modified_gmt":"2010-02-25T00:27:52","slug":"legally-blonde-the-musical","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jillcook.com\/blog\/2010\/02\/24\/legally-blonde-the-musical\/","title":{"rendered":"Legally Blonde: The Musical"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jillcook.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/legallyblonde.jpg\" alt=\"legallyblonde.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Last night we went to see &#8220;Legally Blonde: The Musical&#8221; at the 5th Avenue Theatre as part of our season ticket package.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 Neither of us was expecting very much out of it, though I was hoping it would be fun and that it would be similar to the movie, which I still enjoy watching every once in a while.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 I was pleasantly surprised that I really, really enjoyed it&#8230; not in the way I love Les Miserables or Wicked or Grease &#8211; the music and story in those shows is phenomenal and I love singing along with the soundtracks &#8211; I&#8217;ll listen to them for days on end and I can see those shows over and over again.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 So this was a different kind of enjoyment, but still very enjoyable all the same.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 I never got bored, nor was I irritated by any of the songs.
