More Fun Cruise Photos!

So we’re on the Norweigan Pearl for a 5-day Repositioning cruise from Vancouver B.C. to Los Angeles.  This is my first ever cruise, and I am just blown away by the size of the ship and the sheer volume of activites available and places to explore.  You’ve already seen a few pictures of some of the things we’ve been up to, here are a few more:

My First Cruise!

We’re on a boat!! And it’s so much fun so far! Here’s some evidence!

Effies Burgers

This is one-quarter if a single cheeseburger at Effies in Lewiston, ID. A.J., Chris, and I each had a quarter (plus some tater tots and deep fried mushrooms!) and we were nicely stuffed. It was one HUGE burger, and very tasty!

Portland Never Disappoints

A.J. and I often head away from Seattle for weekend trips, and Portland, OR is one of our favorite destinations. We have nearly always run into some kind of festival or gathering while here (impromptu bike parades, a gathering of Santas, etc) and we weren’t let down this time. On Saturday evening as we walked back to our hotel, the police were shutting down roads for the “Dyke March” and then today we found ourselves immersed in the Portland Pride Festival. Needless to say, Rainbow Bear had a blast!

Disc Golf

This is hole #10 at the Corbin Park Disc Golf course in Post Falls, ID. It’s quite treacherous with a very steep hillside and a swift moving river lining the fairway. Luckily, no discs were lost!

On the Mountain

Day 2 of our 2-day mountain adventure: A.J. back at the Bavarian Lodge sleeping off some food poisoning and me & Chris up at Stevens for an afternoon of boarding.
I finally FINALLY learned how to go toe-side… for real… not the fake “almost toe-side but really not even close” that I’ve been pretending is toe-side for two seasons. This was the real deal, and snowboarding is SO MUCH BETTER now!! 🙂

Live Accordion Music!

We chose our dinner restaurant in Leavenworth based not only on the menu, but also (probably mostly) on the live music offered. Cafe Mozart had harp and piano, King Ludwig’s had polka, but the winner was Andreas Keller with the live accordion player. It was a hoot!

Kah-Nee-Ta Two!

This is my warm summery vacation spot… Those hills have long hot hikes in them… but not today I guess…
It’s all part of growing up, I guess. Seeing childhood memories in a different light (or different season). I never thought I’d see snow in Kah-Nee-Ta!
