Rat City Rollergirls

We went to the rollerderby last night at the Key Arena and it was great! It was my first rollerderby experience, and it lived up to my expectations and then some. There were the die-hard fans, the dressed up “mascots”, the funny names (Ima Handful, Ann R. Kissed, Carmen Getsome), and, of course, the bout itself! I would totally go again sometime… And there’s a part of me that’s interested in joining in one of their “Potential Fresh Meat” sessions sometime!

Disc Golf

This is hole #10 at the Corbin Park Disc Golf course in Post Falls, ID. It’s quite treacherous with a very steep hillside and a swift moving river lining the fairway. Luckily, no discs were lost!

Aussie Baseball!

So the Seattle Mariners are playing an exhibition baseball game against the Australian national baseball team tonight. This is a pic of the score (Aus vs. Sea) from the TV that I thought was kind of cool.

On the Mountain

Day 2 of our 2-day mountain adventure: A.J. back at the Bavarian Lodge sleeping off some food poisoning and me & Chris up at Stevens for an afternoon of boarding.
I finally FINALLY learned how to go toe-side… for real… not the fake “almost toe-side but really not even close” that I’ve been pretending is toe-side for two seasons. This was the real deal, and snowboarding is SO MUCH BETTER now!! 🙂

This is the Strathpine disc golf course – the only 18-hole course we found, but the baskets were a little weird.Ã‚Â We played here many times during our stay.Ã‚Â We also found 3 other courses in the greater Brisbane area – but we never saw anyone else playing.
