More Work
This is the Ellen Barron Family Center in Brisbane where I’ve spent some of my time during my elective here. It’s a facility where parents with young children can go to stay if they’re having difficulties with things like feeding, settling/sleeping, or discipline. It’s quite an impressive facility with such a unique spectrum of services that doesn’t really have an equivalent (that I’ve heard of) in the US.

Aussie Disc Golf!
This is the Strathpine disc golf course – the only 18-hole course we found, but the baskets were a little weird. We played here many times during our stay. We also found 3 other courses in the greater Brisbane area – but we never saw anyone else playing.
Koalas are Afoot!
Though I didn’t actually see any in the area, it felt good just to know they were out there.

Royal Children’s Hospital
My stomping ground for part of my elective here in Brisbane is the Royal Children’s Hospital in Brisbane. I attended a Child Protection Team meeting today, which was very interesting and fairly similar to the child protection system back home.
Now we’re Aussies!!
