Legally Blonde: The Musical

Last night we went to see “Legally Blonde: The Musical” at the 5th Avenue Theatre as part of our season ticket package.  Neither of us was expecting very much out of it, though I was hoping it would be fun and that it would be similar to the movie, which I still enjoy watching every once in a while.  I was pleasantly surprised that I really, really enjoyed it… not in the way I love Les Miserables or Wicked or Grease – the music and story in those shows is phenomenal and I love singing along with the soundtracks – I’ll listen to them for days on end and I can see those shows over and over again.  So this was a different kind of enjoyment, but still very enjoyable all the same.  I never got bored, nor was I irritated by any of the songs. The character development was wonderful, the actors were spot-on for their casting, and the storyline followed the movie very closely, and in some ways was even better (props to the UPS man!!).

I’m not sure A.J. liked it as much as I did – it was definitely a “chick flick” musical – but he didn’t complain at all and he was certainly having fun watching me enjoy myself.  :)  I had such a good time that I would consider going again in order to take someone else who hadn’t seen it yet – I think my sisters (and mom and neices and friends) would all really enjoy it!

Condescending Dolphin

There are many marine animals on the walls on the ER at Children’s, and this is one of the more interesting of the family… We like to call him “Condescending Dolphin”, and that look really lives up to that moniker.

Personal Best!

My bowling team is playing tonight, but I am working so I “pre-bowled” last week and my scores get submitted with the rest of the team tonight. I bowled so awesomely! I got my personal best: 159!!! Can you believe it? This is the photo that’s going to be shown around at the lanes tonight so everyone can see how happy I am about my score!

Passed!

That’s the final inspection, boys and girls… Our house is done (with inspections… there’s still the downstairs to trim out, and some cleaning to do, a few lights are still missing, etc, etc).
But that was a big step!!
