There’s a big rhubarb plant in the backyard here and the last resident who was out here left her recipe for “Rhubarb Stir Cake” so we decided to try making it tonight. It looks like it’s going to be good!

Crazy Critter
Here’s one of the tide pool inhabitants!
Salt Creek Tidepools
We drove out to the Salt Creek Recreation Area this morning (after A.J. flew in on Kenmore Air). This is a picture of the rocky shore at the water’s edge where there are fantastic tide pools with all sorts of crazy critters in them!
The Backyard
This is the backyard in PA, looking out the back door (you can see the handrail for the back steps in the foreground). The big building is a huge garage, the smaller is a storage shed. Then there’s all that YARD! It’s fun, and there’s a mini charcoal grill (you saw it in a previous post…), how great!
Dinnertime!
We’re having kebabs (and weiners) cooked on the mini grill in our backyard! Yummy!
Log Bridge at Marymere
This is one of the log bridges on the way to Marymere Falls, it was so cool!
Marymere Falls
Yesterday we drove to Crescent Lake and did the hike to Marymere Falls, a tall thin waterfall about a half-mile from the parking lot. It was a beautiful hike through old growth trees with a lovely stream that we crossed using two log bridges (very cool). We also saw deer on our way back out, awesome!
Jellyfish Flowers
A.J. bought me flowers today. They’re purple and fancy and they remind me of jellyfish.

My House in PA
Cute, isn’t it? I’m a couple blocks from the clinic and hospital, and also a couple blocks from the waterfront walking path. It’s great here, my first day was great!
